Orio Vergani Prize awarded

This year’s Orio Vergani Prize has been awarded to Coldiretti, Italy’s foremost agricultural organisation at the national and European levels. President Paolo Petroni delivered the prize to Coldiretti’s national President, Ettore Prandini, during the Academy’s Christmas convivial gathering on 15 December, organised by the Roma and Roma Nomentana Delegations. President Petroni reminded the attendees that the link between the agricultural and food system and local customs and food culture is one of the factors that forge a distinctive Italian identity. On behalf of all the agriculturalists that he represents, President Prandini thanked the Academy for this prestigious award.
