The Italian Academy of Cuisine celebrates 70 years

To celebrate the Academy’s seventy-year milestone, this 29th of July the President and the President’s Council will meet at the Hotel Diana, where our association was founded in 1953. At noon, President Paolo Petroni will address the press and government bodies about the Academy’s commitment to fostering Italian cuisine, a cultural heritage that few countries can equal. Recent activities will be presented, including a commercially unavailable forthcoming publication retracing our association’s many years of existence, and the new ‘Seventy-Year Manifesto’.
Concurrently, the Academy and Poste Italiane (the Italian Postal Services) will present the postage stamp issued by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Made in Italy, belonging to the ‘Italian Artistic and Cultural Heritage’ series, dedicated to the Italian Academy of Cuisine for its 70th anniversary. The conference will conclude with the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the Academy’s foundation, affixed at the entrance of the Hotel Diana’s restaurant.
