Following negotiations for exporting Italian rice to China, the Italian Embassy in Beijing announces that all Italian rice growers’ applications to export rice to China have been approved by the pertinent Chinese authorities, fulfilling the protocol agreed by both parties on 8 April 2020.
“This result” – the Ministry declares – “derives from long and intense negotiations involving Italy’s National Plant Health Service (Servizio Fitosanitario Nazionale) in close collaboration with operators and scientific organisations in the sector, the other offices of the Agriculture Ministry, regional governing bodies and our diplomatic representatives in Beijing”.
